God on Trial

Inspired by the story or legend that the inmates of Auschwitz put God on trial, this 90 minute drama was written by Frank Cottrell Boyce and produced in 2008 for BBC Two and PBS. It won the Emmy Television Academy Honor for programmes which advance social change and The Times rated it one of the top television programmes of the decade. The drama is distributed globally, but has also developed a further life as a theatrical play and has been performed in the UK, the US and Nigeria. Interest in the drama, as both a script and a play, has prompted us to make the text available to read.
